Master shipwright and great expert of Lake Maggiore Ubaldo Costantini, following in the footsteps of his father Luigi, carries on his family’s shipbuilding business. In the 50s, he also opened a mechanical workshop to repair marine engines. The business reached its peak in the 60s when the leaders of Italian entrepreneurship chose the professionalism and expertise of Cantiere Costantini to explore the lake.
We Are Lake People
I grew up in our family’s boatyard – located in Reno di Leggiuno, by the shores of Lake Maggiore – breathing in the North-West wind Mergozzo and looking at the mist blurring the lake shores in winter time.
The boats that used to lull and entertain me, shortly became my passion, which later turned into an actual life choice: the choice to carry on our family business.
Lake Maggiore is also the reason why I met my wife, with whom I don’t only share my life but also my passion for boating. Today, we work together and share our love for our business.
